Today's digital DJs want to auto synchronise music seamlessly. This isn't possible for live music, older music or vinyl rips. Genres such as: disco, funk, jazz, rock, blues, folk and much more often can't fit into a beat grid, or auto sync easily in DJ software. However, they will after they have been time corrected!
Modern electronic music is different from older music, it has been made in the digital environment which sequences tracks to be pin point accurate. Older music hasn't been made with modern technology, and live music usually hasn't been recorded in a studio using modern methods. This causes bad timing which is confusing to a computer system.
